The Styer-Fitzgerald Program for Functional Academics
The Styer-Fitzgerald Program for Functional Academics is a comprehensive approach to teaching real world skills to students with mild, moderate and severe disabilities. Both the assessment and curriculum are user friendly, providing teachers with clear and easy to use lesson plans, data sheets, and a progress tracking method. The curriculum can accommodate students at a variety of skill levels within a single classroom.
The curriculum and assessment are also structured to be able to move with the student from year to year so that growth is supported by a continuous linking of teaching and individual assessment to the fully sequenced program. Schools or districts that use the Styer-Fitzgerald Functional Academics Program across several grades provide students with a cohesive, consistent learning environment and also have coordinated data for assessment of student achievement.
